Melanie tells Daniel that she’s applied for a job at the spa so she can get extra money and hopefully move out. She was going to tell him about the Chad incident but switched it up.

Austin tells Sami he’s really proud of her, she’s successful and has turned herself around.
Rafe tells Carrie that John was in the cafe in Paris-but NOT on the date in question. Rafe figures out that the picture is for sure doctored and that John was framed. Carrie is super excited and hugs Rafe-as Sami walks in, then slams the door. She pretends all is good and is extra happy but in a pissy way. She tells Rafe that the church is booked on Christmas eve and they can’t renew their vows. Rafe suggests having their vows renewed in the town square in front of Salem’s happiest couple. I am sure you have all heard by now that Bryan Dattilo is returning to Salem. I am sure because of @Haleyluvslumi’s screams of joy!
According to soapoperadigest.com we can expect to see Lucas by the end of February.
How do you feel about this cast return? I think it fits with Ken Corday’s promise of more Hortons. I do worry that with Lucas back, Jennifer will be more likely to dump Daniel. It is a bit harder to forget that your boyfriend and brother can’t stand each other when they are face to face.
I wonder how many of Sami’s love interests can be onscreen at once? Where is Brandon? We have Austin, Rafe, E.J., and now Lucas too? I have images of Scarlett at Twin Oaks here.
So… what will Lucas’ role be? Who will be his romantic interest? Will we see Lumi again?

Jennifer suggests to Abe that he bring out Ej’s family history of “bad” to the public. Abe says he won’t go there.
Abe has a speech to make. Someone calls Jennifer and says there’s been a change in venue. They go to the new venue and no one is there. No one knew about this venue change. Seems Nicole planned this fake phone call so Ej could make a fantastic speech. Ej and Nicole run into Jennifer, Abe and Lexi. Jen flips out and calls Ej a pathetic human. Days now has a “previously on Days of our Lives”. Today it showed history of Chad, Sonny and Will making the website, then realizing it was hacked.
I feel like I missed something. Chad and Melanie are held hostage in some storage room. They see a camera and realize they’re being watched.

Melanie and Gabby go to the spa for some much needed vacation. Melanie sees Chad and they all decide to get massages. Quinn says their massages can all be free today if they tell their friends about it. Quinn asks if Melanie and Chad would like a couple massage. They laugh and tell him they’re not together. Melanie forgets her phone on the reception desk, she goes out in a towel to go get it, towel falls off, Chad walks out and it’s a funny awkward moment.
Austin smacks right into Abby while he was jogging. He asks for her help, he wants to be a good teacher. She tells him about her paper that won an award and invites him to the ceremony. Read the rest of this entry »

EJ makes a pretty romantic night for Nicole and him. He asks her to live with him again. Nicole asks him what his feelings are towards Sami. She says she’s always afraid Ej will leave her for Sami. Ej reassures her that Sami is all out of his system. Nicole agrees to move in with him. Ej misses the tree festivities in the town square so he can spend time with Nicole dressed as a skanky Mrs Clause.
Sami tries to get Will into the Christmas spirit. It doesn’t work too well. Carrie and Austin show up with a surprise-Marlena with flowers. Sami’s pissed, Will is happy about that. Marlena goes and plays with the kids and Sami goes off on Carrie. Sami decides to be nice for the day, and they all trim the tree together. Will pours an insane amount of alcohol into his tiny drop of pop. He then does as most kids do, and he tops the bottle of rum or whatever it is, up with water. Read the rest of this entry »

Bo and Hope dig out the family ornaments. They cry and talk about Zack. Hope picks up Alice’s ornament. The top pops off and a little scroll type paper comes out. On the paper…a Phoenix, and some words that make no sense but do include the name Stefano Dimera.
Ej does an interview about his law suit against John. Carrie, Marlena and John watch the feed from Carrie’s phone.
Ej and John sit across the table from each other and they go over the law suit.

Gabi breaks up with Will. He does not take it well. Abigail sees Carrie and Austin at the pub while wearing Austin’s hat. Madison gets really mad at Sami for patronizing the competition’s spa and playing hooky. Roman warns Kate about Quinn and Madison about Stefano.

Madison lays into Sami for being at the spa instead of working. Kate stands by and listens in. Madison tells Sami she’s supporting the competition by going to a spa that uses Countess Willamina products.
Sami and Rafe go home, he tells her she’s going to work with Carrie for free to help John’s case. Sami’s not upset, and says she’s okay with it. Rafe asks her if they’re alright. Sami reassures him and asks to renew their wedding vows. He’s confused…they JUST got married and usually renewals come up at a special anniversary. He agrees to it because it seems to mean a lot to her.
Roman tells Quinn he’s going to watch him day and night. Quinn tells Roman he has a lot of built up frustration and should see a therapist. He recommends his therapist-Marlena! Roman looks pissed, Quinn tells him not to worry, their relationship is strictly professional, for now. Roman gives a little threat and tells him not to cross anyone he cares about.
