Personally- I love the dynamic between Melanie and Nathan. Melanie is even starting to have the Horton goodwill rub off on her.

Is it just me or is Hope looking scary skinny these days? When I first saw her at the funeral I shrieked at how thin she appeared on the screen. Hell, the camera is supposed to add 10 pounds. Her face, neck and shoulders look like a skeleton. This sudden weight loss is also a bit troubleling considering Hope used to be kind of chunky in the old days. Kristian, we love you, please eat. You look much better with a few more pounds.

Melanie’s character was really getting interesting. But…. the writers are returning her to flake status.  Having her choose not to move to London over a guy she met that day, is a little much.  She is 18 after all, so maybe it is pretty realistic. I think they would be cute together. They both seem naughty but trying to do good. Should be a cute summer romance, not that the Will and Mia romance has gotten so heavy/dark.

2. Nicole will be imprisoned, along with good ole Doc Baker

3. Will won’t be happy with Mia and her lying

4. Maggie might not like having an addict impostor in her home

5. Rafe will most likely leave Sami if she is the one who tells

6. Chloe won’t like that Lucas knew the whole time

7.Brady will be livid he was part of something that harmed his step-sister

I am a bit annoyed.  The whole appeal to this Kiraiakis vs DiMera feud was that it spiced things up a bit. No more Stefano after the Bradys that has endured for years. But… now with Stephanie passed out in a garden bin the Bradys are back in the thick of it.  Caroline, Hope and Bo are going to turn on Victor. There will be absolutely no chance of an oldie but goody summer romance between Victor and Caroline. The DiMeras should have kidnapped the butler, Henderson. Victor needs him more! And Melanie. I shudder to think how long, or inappropriately short, she will wait to make a move on Philip.

The additon of Wes Ramsey to the Days cast isn’t exactly breaking news. But it seems almost certain that he will be playing the part of Eric Brady — twin to Sami. Critics are already complaining that the two don’t look anything alike. People, this is a soap. There are no rules.

The real question is what are they going to do with him. I’m still trying to figure out why they brought Brady back. His story line doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Mia still needs a father for her baby. The list of men in Salem with no good story line is growing quickly — Max, Roman, Brady, Daniel (sort of).

Look for his debut in early April.

There are lots of rumors floating around about who is getting the ax. Corday seems to be in the mood to make some cast changes. It’s hard being the boss.

Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) has given her notice and will be leaving in the spring. She was not fired. She opted out. I’m guessing she will not be recast and Max will have a new love interest. It has to be a new character. He’s dated just about every eligible female past and present.

Also leaving the cast is Steve, Kayla, Tony, Anna, Mickey and Celeste. Rumor has it that Steve and Kayla are not getting any kind of exit story. Tony is going to be killed off.

All these departures makes a strong case for Mia to stick around. It seems certain that Rafe is going to be a regular. If Sami goes back to Lucas one more time I will be sick. EJ doesn’t love Nicole. All signs point to a Brady and Nicole union. Maybe EJ and Melanie. She is only 18. But all actors live in a time warp on soaps. Some characters age extremely fast.
