Wow that was interesting. I think is possible that ej isn’t stefanos kid, yeah probably maggies eggs . Also Ian if he was with Kate it had to be before 1994. That’s when i started watching. So are the writers the same as the writers from passions?

There are rumours that Ian isn´t her husband but father and just like to controll her, there is also rumours that Ian might be EJ´s father, maybe he is a dimera too since EJ looks like Santos.

Why do I love you guys so much?  I just love to hear the ramblings of genuine Days fans.  I’ve been a Days fan in good times and bad, for better or worse, til death us do part.  I do have a life, but this show is my fantasy entertainment!

umm, how can Madison be married to Ian is he is her father?…also, don’t you think Kate would know if she had another daughter out there, especially with Ian!  Of course, weirder things have happened on Days!

I already dislike Ian! I forsee something happening to him pretty soon. Stephano will not put up with him coming on to Kate! Sami has turned in to the “old” Sami once again. The thing with Austin and Abby is totally disgusting! Austin is disgusting in my book, never liked this guy playing him! John is back to the whispering thing again which is annoying, for heavens sake just speak!

The writers are a bunch of idiots…same old stories with new people being involved. I wish the job required them to go back and watch ALL the stories before they were hired. I’m sick and tired of all the repeats. I’ve watching since day one when it was a 1/2 hour black & white (1963) and nothing is new anymore.

EJ was born in 1997.  He has been rapidly aged though.

Amy, Krista Allen was the second Billie, the soft-core porn actress.  She actually dated George Clooney back in the day. 
I also think it could be possible that John and Hope might be EJ’s real parents.  John is definitely old enough and well, if eggs were taken from Hope, she could easily be the mother.  In real life EJ is just a year older than me, so he’s 33.  Hope is in her mid to late 40′s.  If that’s how old they’re supposed to be on the show, it’s kind of doubtful that she’d be the mother, but you never know how old the characters are supposed to be.  I mean, EJ should be a teenager or something, but they aged him.  I don’t know.  There’s so much speculation right now…is he Maggie’s, is he John’s?  Maybe it has nothing to do with EJ? 
As for Ian, he creeps me out.  lol!  I like the actor, and I think it must be nice to play a character with the same first name as you, but he’s kind of tiny, and he moves in a funny way.  Haha! 
Just to touch on the Carrie/Abby thing.  I was confused as well as to why Carrie would just interrupt Abby and Jack when they were clearly involved in a serious conversation.  I would never do that.  Obviously the writers needed that to happen, but it was just plain awkward. 
Finally, I cringe a bit when Brady tells Madison how beautiful she is.  And you both are so right!  What about Chloe, Nicole, and Arianna?  Madison has nothing on those three!  I just don’t see it.  She’s a pretty woman, I just don’t find her drop dead gorgeous. 

so glad to have you two back  I agree, Days is pretty good on the whole right now.  John-Marlena…I seriously shudder when they get that “look in their eyes”.  It truly just freaks me out.  Marlena’s moaning, John swallowing her face, just…wayyyy too much for me to handle.

Stefano’s secret?  Well, I’ve read a few spoilers, don’t know anything for sure, but I won’t say what I’ve read.  Should be MUCH more interesting than some marriage between John and Hope though!

And I’m with you Amy, as much of a Bope fan as I am, I always did think John & Hope had some great chemistry, especially on that sub.  I wish they’d left Zack as John’s, was a much better plot line.

Abby’s freaky!  Now I’m just waiting for the fake-pregnant storyline, lol.  Her’s & Will’s are my fave storylines at the moment.  I could have done without the boring election storyline.

Katie- I told Jabie the same thing! She needs to have a hysterical pregnancy! Cannot wait. 

Days is turning into a show of lies and deceit – doesn’t anyone have the balls to tell the truth?  I’m sick of the same old story lines – time to find a different show to watch

I have to wonder why anyone would watch Days as it is now without a prior connection.  I’m honestly wondering, and I’m sorry to be doing so.  I find it utterly dull.  I’m down to watching the ten minutes per week or so that Jack is on.  I would not be watching at all if I didn’t already adore this one character.  Jack/hope for a good JnJ reunion story is all there is that is keeping me hanging on.  So I watch for a character (Jack) who was created by good writing way back when I was ten years old!  Why do newer viewers watch? My basic issue is that the show fails to create characters/romances that I can care about.  I had stopped watching when JnJ left in 2006.  I started watching again for EJ/Sami, but that has tanked, and I think the character of EJ has been ruined beyond repair for me with the Rafe2/Taylor stuff.  (Honestly, I never really cared for Sami in the first place, other than what I saw between her and EJ.)  Jennifer is nothing like the character I once loved—the insta-love with Doc. Boring has near destroyed her for me. The only reason I haven’t written Jennifer off as I have EJ is because my investment in her/JnJ goes back so much further. The show is largely populated by generic/replaceable characters (Dan, Chad, Madison, Brady, Rafe, Carrie, Austin etc.) and bland romances without build (Brady/Madison, Chad/Melanie, Jen/Dan).  It’s not much of a show anymore.  I hoped for so much better with the reboot. Also, concerning Jack, he needs to be wearing suits. It’s such a simple touch, and the show isn’t even getting that right.

Sorry to be so negative, but I just can’t understand why the show has to be this crappy.  Find some good writers.  I know they must exist.  And require the writers to familiarize themselves properly with the characters and their histories.  Build better characters.  Jettison the generic characters or flesh them out.

I definitely agree about the romances being bland.  I started watching DOOL in the early 1990s–I remember Jack and Jen, John (he still thought he was Roman then I think) and Isabella, Bo and Carly, Carly and Lawrence.  There truly are expendable characters, as well as relationships, now.  Since Daniel’s been gone, I really noticed how useless his character was/is. I don’t think there was EVER a chance that he and Jen were going to end up together. 
I also agree with you that newcomers to the show and the writers don’t fully understand the history of the show, as well as the history between the characters that were brought back to Salem. 
I must say that I’ve been a loyal DOOL fan for 20 or so years now.  I’m just finding it rather boring these days.  I thought the new writers were going to really heal a show that was so broken under the former writers.  Also, Alice Horton blackmailing Stefano???  Seriously? 

Yes, Rachel, I had hope with the new writers also, but they have been disappointing.  As for the good doctor, it’s a darn shame that he’s coming back.  The show needs to cut many of the underdeveloped characters, and Dr. Boring would be #1 on my list, because he’s not only shallow in his own right, but the show has driven the nail into his coffin further by trying so hard to sell him by using other characters to inexplicably sing his praises.  And the histrionics from Maggie, Melanie, and Jennifer over him going on a vacation?  Seriously?  If he were actually leaving the show, maybe that would have been warranted, but even then, I’ve seen far more long standing and beloved characters sent off with much less fanfare.   Maggie hasn’t seen the daughters she actually raised in years, but she cannot stand the loss of a forty something-year-old that she just learned was the product of her egg?  Never mind the impossibility of that happening over forty years ago, such was the show’s desire to sell this character and his daughter that they went to such silly lengths.  Why?

I would love to see john and hope together and I am a huge bo and hope fan. There is just something about john and hope. I think they have a great chemistry as well as history that needs explored!
