Totally lost potential. It would’ve been great to see Brady and EJ fight over Arianna!

Honestly I don’t see why people think they’d be good together. They are both gorgeous but that’s all. I have never seen any chemistry between them and Arianna just seems too weak a character for EJ. And it’s funny that people think Ej shouldn’t be with evil Sami but are fine with him being with good and sweet Arianna. I don’t get that one. Plus he has used Arianna and lied to her etc. which seems for so many a reason for 2 people not to be together. For me I’m glad they didn’t put them together cuz I really see NO chemistry and don’t see them as compatible in a romantic relationship. Love them as friends though.

They wasted an opportunity with this pair. They has potential and they didn’t even give them a chance.

They won’t have a chance as Arianna dies soon…I’d like to see EJ become a real jerk again and follow in daddy’s footsteps.

Arianna suffered from lack of character development. Even though we know she has a drug past, and went under cover for the cops to expose the drug lord (EJ), we never really came to cheer for her or really know her at that. I remember when Lindsay Hartley was announced as the new Arianna, my friend and I thought “Ooh, they’re taking out the big guns! We’re going to see some good acting!” Lindsay is a phenomenal actress but wasn’t given good material, and then DAYS dropped the ax. Did anyone else see that moment where Arianna comforted EJ and defended him? HELLO!!! That was a possibility! But, remember people, thanks to James Reilly, no one in Salem really ever stays dead. So, I still hold very small hope that they’ll give her a second chance!

I do agree with you there Nathan that Arianna’s character was not developed properly. But I feel that way about most characters on DOOL right now who haven’t been there more than a certain # of years. I really think the weak link in the chain is Dena. I hate to single ppl out and place blame, but in the end she’s the headwriter. She decides what will be written and what won’t. So while I think she’s doing a better job than the whoever was 2006-2008, we need a better writer. Or perhaps just a better writing team around her.

When Arianna was with Brady, she was difficult to watch – always whining and crying. BUT WITH EJ she was stronger. It maybe could have worked if given the chance over the LONG haul and it would take a LOT Of convincing for this EJAMI fan…I guess we’ll never truly KNOW if they could have developed some chemistry, but judging from what we have seen on screen, I don’t really see the chemistry. I think it would have been interesting to see if she could have something with Eric….but oh well.

Hannah–you mean Eric Brady, or Eric Martsolf (aka Brady Black) I’m sorry, lol, this whole multiple names of actors and characters begins to confuse me after a while!

I think Days floated the ejanna balloon as early as nov 2009. The drug story with Troy and Arianna was pretty random alt best, imo. I hate to keep referring to the FLCE Q and A in June – but JS and LH both agreed that the scenes where EJ took her defense case as the mugger — were filmed in January and were being aired the week we were in LA. So, I feel like there was a possible storyline with them — and tptb decided to drop it. I personally think that bc Arianna’s character was never ffully developed – LH was at a disadvantage from the start. I think they tried in many of the scenes in the video to chem test LH and JS — and the magic was not there.

To have put another woman in EJ’s orbit early in the year – would have been difficult — really to put another woman in EJ’s orbit – beside Sami – would be a big gamble. If they ever do — i think it will have to be someone new – not on the canvas – and very seasoned and offfer something more magnetic than EJ and Sami. Tall order. I have put forth a name before — and feedback here and on other sites was very negative.

LH seems to be a fine person and did welll on Passions – I am sure she will find a good spot. Just dont think Days was ever the right spot for her.

They have definitely lost potential, I was rooting for them at first.

Libby, I do agree with you – that to put anyone but AS opposite of JS is a gamble and I don’t AT ALL think that LH and JS could have made it. He would carry her for sure. His character DEMANDS a strong character as his love interest. My point was that LH was stronger at acting when in scenes with JS and that a HUGE MAYBE chemistry could have developed with A LOT of work. So, I think we agree to a great degree!

Hannah, I obviously disagree with you, LH would not be carried by JS. I do however agree that Dena did not do LH a favor in the ill-conceived storyline and background she wrote for Arianna.

I’m still pretty sure that I’m done with DOOL (again) whenever LH leaves. The only other storyline I’m really interested in is Bope. I love Kristian and Peter. Always have, always will. So, I may stick around to watch their reunion, but otherwise….what couple that’s together now on DOOL is worth watching/fighting for? I honestly cannot think of one. And the only other storylines I’d love to see happen, won’t. (Like Michael Sabatino coming back fulltime as Lawrence to torture Carly&Melanie&Daniel for her existence and Vivian for not revenging his murder).

Ellefire, I found your comment pretty funny. I have nothing against the character of Arianna… found her friendship with E.J. to be quite sweet, but never saw any “spark” between the two.
