I want to say Daniel did it, but with this whole storyline, Daniel always looks like he overheard something or knows something when he really doesn’t so that could be a total ‘trick’. Otherwise it could have been any of them.

The only ones I think it could be are Philip, Chloe, Ian, or Victor. I’m rooting for Victor.

How come no one thinks Vivian did it? She is out to get both Carly and Chloe. How better than to change the results and make it seem like Carly did it and later ruin Carly and Chloe’s lives once it is revealed? She did tell Chloe she would get her back for not killing Carly. Sure they didn’t show Vivian being any part of this but I think it would be a great twist~

For some reason, I want to say Melanie did it. Maybe she put two and two together and felt partially responsible for Philip cheating because of her kiss with Nathan… and also, for the sake of her father decided to switch the results!

OH MY LORD, ANOTHER BABY SWITCH!!! Give me a break!! How about all of them making the big switch? If Daniel hasn’t suspected anything, then he is really dense! He must know. So those who made the switch were, Daniel, Carly, Phillip and Melanie.

Carly for the obvious choice, dan for not so obvious choice and nathan as an outside chance…..and not toally ruling out Kate…she had those weird scenes with dan few weeks ago where she said chloe would ruin his life and that chloe and carly were ‘keeping him ion the dark’
Not chloe, she is written these days as not nearly smart enough to hack a hospital system, sorry lol.
Philips too obvious and kinda boring choice, plus hes been talking up how he’d be there for chloe and not run away like he did with tyler.
Dunno if vic would keep phils son from him after what he went through being robbed of isabellas and bos childhoods. i could more so see him doing(after baby is born) what he did re claire, belle and shawn when he had them set up to look unfit parents to try and get custody to k family/philip.

Well now Alicia if DOOL does make it Melanie I might gain some respect back for them b/c that would certainly make this storyline more interesting.

omg, I didn’t see this coming. I think it was Daniel so he’ll forgive Chloe and she will forgive him. But, where does that leave Phillip?

I am so glad it wasn’t Stephanie it was nice DOOL finally did something unpredictable. Melanie didn’t know anything about it so I don’t think it was her. I’m betting it was Carly but my second guess would be Phillip then Daniel. Those are really the only viable suspects in my opinion.

Am I the only one who remembers that when Phillip came back from the service, he had an injury that made him sterile? Why do they do that to us? Don’t they think that we have memories?

No Gloria, you’re not the only one who remembers Philip is sterile. But Philip also lost his leg in the war and DOOL seems happy to whitewash over that which to me is a bigger deal.

philip was not sterile, he had slow swimmer which could have beena result of meds/ptsd and no proof that it was permanent. If he were totally sterile tyler wouldnt exist…ivf or not;)
In any case why fixated on philip…i mean hello…Chloe was suppsoed to be unable to havea baby ehrself…less than 2% lmao those odds were worse than philips probs yet she is preg as can be. its just a show and things are retconned or fogotten all the time

My money is on Victor, Kate or Vivian.

I rule out Chloe, my favorite character of ALL time, because those heartfelt scenes where she broke down at the apartment, showed that she was truly sorry about the one night stand, and simply wants to have Daniel’s child and have an honest bond with his family. I don’t think Chloe is capable of making rash decisions like that.
I also rule out Carly because she has already lied to Daniel about Melanie, and has clearly stated that she wants Daniel to be the father and she will drop it. And she also said that if the baby is the other man’s, Chloe must tell Daniel or CARLY WILL. So, I don’t think she would do this either.
I rule out Nathan because the way Nathan has acted, if he were to find out the truth, he would have ran to Melanie to expose the truth so he could win her back. I think we all know that he would do so. It can’t be Nathan.
Daniel “loves” Chloe too much to hurt her like this. If it is Daniel, then I’m sure the writers will give him the “EJ’s the Victim and that’s why he reacted” excuse.

Okay, now, we all know that Chloe is among the number of women who Victor hates. Victor’s shady. He may be planning to expose Chloe as a “slut” and try to break her and Daniel up. Remember that Victor was the one who set Chloe up to make it look like Brady’s disappearance was her fault.

Vivian also stated that she wanted to get revenge on Chloe. And everyone knows Ms. Alamain is capable of crazy stunts. I mean, if it weren’t for Viv manipulating Chloe, none of this would have happened!

Kate, also hates Chloe for “breaking Philip’s heart in high school” and for hurting Lucas (that marriage should have NEVER happened, by the way.) But, I think Kate’s got too much on her plate with Chad/Stefano/Madeline issues that I don’t think she has time for Chloe. So, I might rule out Kate.

I am not as invested in this story as I probably should be. But right now, I think Philip had the results changed – he wants to give Chloe the happiness she believes she can have with Daniel. I dont think he wants to hurt Melanie and lose to Nathan. But in the end – I think Philip will leave Melanie if the truth comes out or not.

Once the child is born – Philip will want to be a part of his/her life. Therefore this story can have legs for a while to come.

Libby, that makes good sense. At first I dismissed him as a possibility because how could he bear to be separated from another child? But in his panicked state, this makes sense to him right now… later the pain will set in. Good thinking.

I thought it was made pretty clear that Carly made the swith in the computer? maybe i was wrong

Ian is not a significant character so he is probably out. My money is Victor or Kate trying to protect Philip.

I can’t at all see it being Daniel (i mean interesting… but why in the world would he change it??? if he found out, i don’t think he would want to be with Chloe at all, let alone break the law for her…) & I can’t see it being Carly, either… besides both of them seem to have very strong work ethics…

I don’t think it was Chole… i think the situation has made her too weak to think to do something like that… it would only make the truth haunt her even more… besides does she even have the computer know-how or the connections???

I think, Philip makes the most sense… but then again maybe he is the obvious choice… who knows…

I am loving this story & all of the possibilities…

They sent out a lot of red herrings on this one.

Philip will add the most interest and angst long term, imo. Particularly if Philip divorces Melanie and resumes his relationship to Steph. They both know the truth – but neither of them knows that the other knows. ( does that make sense )

I think today – they made it clear that Daniel was ordering tickets and weekend getaway in Chicago and not changes to hospital records.

I think the same is true for Carly — it was interesting when the Nun said she was surprised to see to see her come in person to get the results. maybe, “Leonard – Super computer geek” hacked into the system with Carly’s id. There would be a record that her id accessed the record bf Carly arrived in person.

I really think that Carly and Daniel have flaws but thye are truly dedicated to their careers. I just do not see them altering records no matter which loved one may be involved.

What if the results were changed by more then one person and Daniel IS really the father??? Just thinking…

Finally this storyline is getting interesting! I’m glad as well that it wasn’t Stephanie for a change – that would have been oh so predictable.

I think Philip did it – he has those connections. He has the most motive for wanting it to be changed – even though that’s his own child, he’d be willing to give up him/her to save his marriage – he already gave up “Pocket”. I think a distant second would be Carly.

Definitely Philip. I don’t think it would make sense for Carly to have done it. If she was going to lie about the baby’s paternity, why go all the way to the hospital and get the records, if she’s the only one who’ll see them? She could’ve just called Chloe from the pub or something and lied.

Daniel is just too dense. Also, I think he would be more likely to just confront Chloe if he knew, rather than fake the results.

Chloe has motive, but doesn’t know anything about computers. So, it’s possible that Days has glossed over this, but she’s an unlikely candidate.

It makes no sense for it to be Ian (plus he wouldn’t have had time). Melanie just wouldn’t do it, there’s pretty much no motive there. Stefano is making heirs left and right, so I doubt he would concern himself with Chloe. And if he were to impregnate a woman with Dimera seed, wouldn’t he choose someone fertile?

Victor is…plausible. He has motive and means, however, I still think it’s Philip. I imagine that once the baby is born he’ll be itching to give Melanie that baby she’s been wanting, at which point she will have taken a job at the hospital and will want to wait. Philip may grow increasingly impatient and want to spend more and more time with his child before finally revealing the truth and destroying both his marriage and Chloe’s.

Libby – NEVER EVER again to the appauling and not even popular with the G.A atrocity that was philip and Stephanie. That’sa deal breaker for me and many philip fans, that = tune out and the show can’t afford that. no point revitinga pairing that there was hardly any great outcry over when they split up lol (the last time i mean…there were sooo many break ups zzz). She treated him like garbage and he was never good enough. I wish stephanie would leave the show as do many people from what i read on Mb’s, she hasn’t even connected with the main audience…even melanie is more popular and i’d take phelanie over phinie any day even though i’m not a fan.
Stephanie isn’t ven a love to hate characetr like Kate or Nicole ….she’s just…pointless and a control freak.
In any case none of the other women will have what Chloe has, his baby and permanent connection and no matter hwo philip feels now…it is in his nature and very core to be jealous….it won’t be too long before he will eat his heart and be seething wiith jealousy and regret over not being a part of this babies life….especially when it will be raised right in front of him. totally different to tyler plus chloe his best pal and someone he cares for and has history with is the mother…not some petrie dish mistake with mimi. totally different ball game with a phloe baby.
Thats if he even did the switch…my money is still on carly first…not everything is as complicated as people make it…sometime the obvious is true in soaps.
But i also think daniel has to know something…unless he’s had a lobotomy.

Philip isn’t sterile. He is Pocket’s father: The baby that Steve & Kayla were going to adopt. I think either Carly did it when she went to the hospital by herself on Chloe’s bday or Ian did it.

@Hannah: I agree. DAYS is good with that. Someone changing the results and then come to find out that the original person is the father. John ended up being Belle’s father when Sami found out and tried to change the results and kidnapped her because she found out.

My initial guess is Carly. To keep the secret from Daniel and Melanie about her covering up the ONS, to help her new BFF Chloe, to give Daniel the chance to raise a baby (that she denied him). Carly doesn’t know that Philip is the father, so it will cause her devastation to realize that she hurt her daughter’s marriage by trying to help Danloe.

Victor’s a possibility. That guy knows everything, and I can see him doing what he can to prevent Chloe from having a Kiriakis baby, but I think his MO would be more to let Chloe have the baby and then try to get custody from her.

Daniel would be the most interesting possibility – perhaps that he knows about the ONS and that the baby isn’t his, but not that Philip is the father, and he’s doing this to play Chloe.

I’m just looking for the eventual total destruction of Danloe and Phelanie, and for Phloe to bond over their baby and find their way back to each other!

I am sticking with Carly, the rest are too obvious.

I think it was Carly. I thought at first it was Phillip, but he had an excuse, albeit a not so great one, as to what he was up to. I don’t think Daniel knew anything about it. Chloe wouldn’t be smart enough to hack into a computer system and change the results. Plus, she’s genuinely happy right now instead of acting like the guilty self she was before she heard the baby’s Daniel’s. Nathan was acting pretty guilty, but he didn’t know anything about the baby and he didn’t know Chloe’s affair was with Phillip. Melanie didn’t know anything about anything and she had an excuse as to why she was on the St. Mary’s web site. Ian has no stake in any of this. Victor didn’t know anything about anything and Stefano, well, that’s just silly.

I believe Carly did it since she obviously had access to the result, Ian and Stephanie did get the chance as for Phillip he’s a business man that call could’ve been anything. Daniel aka Dr. Clueless cant know anything anyway. Nathan was not in the picture and I doubt he will risk his hospital image. Malanie could just be accepting the offer about her working in Mary’s hospital. Victor is too bussy with Vivian and Maggie to waste his time on Chloe. lol

I like Ian for Stephanie. I think he would make a great sidekick or best buddy to Steph even if she is not into him romantically. He’s kind of cute, and I hope they develop his character more.

I think Carly is the one who switched the results. She does not want her daughter to go through more stress, and she feels so guilty for keeping Melanie from Daniel all those years. I think she feels she owes it to Daniel and wants to see him happy.

Amy I like Ian with Stephanie too. I too want them to develop his character.

As for who switch the results I have no idea and I love it.

According to sod fall previews via Ken Corday he says “you won’t believe who did it! the last person you’d expect”. So for me that means calry, philip etc are all too obvious. The only surprise chpice in that bunch for me would be Daniel. and in two interview recently SC has implies that danile ‘knows more than you think he does”. Guess we’ll see. I’m with Sariah, just want danloe OVER. theres no friendship or truly knowing each other there(phils chloes best friend Not daniel, she said so herself the other day), no substance, all they do is argue then have sex blah blah.
