Ahh! This would be an awesome turn of events..I hope they go forward with this…

I think it could be a really stong possibility that the baby of Nicole is still alive (but i also strongly believe that Syd is Sami’s). It could be interesting for the Nicole’s character.
But this direction is not good for the Ej’s character, i don’t want him always tied with babies storylines. He can be redeem with a storyline in jail or in a character driven storyline about his childhood and how Stefano made him become a Dimera soldier or in a storyline where he has mental breakdown..these ideas would be so much more interesting for his character and to explore his psychology.

As recently hinted in Soap Opera Digest, a presumed-dead character is heading back to Salem. We can now confirm it’s John Callahan, who will reprise the role of Dr. Richard Baker on April 22. We’d say look out, Nicole, but that’s not necessarily who he’s crossing paths with this time around…

Absolutely I think Nicole’s baby girl is alive somewhere. BUT I sure don’t think she will be use to redeem EJ. I think Nicole will get her baby back and start a life with Brady.

First off unless Dr. Baker is coming back undetected he’s jail bait and/or fish bait. He committed fraud which will land him in jail and he messed with the DiMera’s which will land him in the Salem River with bricks tied to his shoes.

As far as Nicole and EJ’s baby being alive I suppose a 20 week old fetus can survive in soap world. I suppose that Dr. Baker could have performed heroic measures in his clinic and spent millions of dollars to save this baby who would have had mutiple birth defects in order to save the baby and sell her on the black market. I suppose in soap world anything can happen, It would be dumb but it could happen,

I hope Nicole’s baby is alive! I love her! I want her and Brady to be togther. The baby being with them would make it an amazing family for Niki.

Why do people like Nicole so much? I hate her! Love Sami! How can she come back from jail? Maybe Tony Dimera will be the one to come back?! Why would Baker get rid of Nicoles baby to sell when he got Mias to sell? So confusing!

I don’t think so, she miscarried too early on. Plus, with her being sentenced to prison how would that storyline work out? Unless Chloe/Daniel adopted her baby, because she can’t have one…that would be a good twist. But doubtful. Soaps take things pretty far but that is too far of a stretch.

I would love to see Nicole’s baby come back..Wish they would make E.J a better man..And Sami could get back with him..E.J and Sami are good together…
Let Nicole be with Brady!
I’ve been a fan for way over 30 years, use to run home from school to watch the show, and am still that way..Got my Hubby hooked also!!

I tend to think that Nicole’s baby may surface as a future sl. Anything is possible. I partly agree with Ava. I think we dont need yet another child for EJ to obsess over. I think the next sl will be a Brady/Nicole romance and a revenge plot against EJ, Stefano and Anna.

The writers need to get busy thinking of a way to redeem EJ. At least, dont make him ‘schadenfreude’ and pathological.

I hope Stefano can help him come back from this “break” or whatever you want to call it. I think the betrayal by Stefano is as significant as Sami and Nicole. ( Keep in mind EJ is not the victim here – certainly not the main one or most significant one ) Stefano needs to reach out and take a strong shake at EJ.

It will be interesting to see how it all comes to fruition. Right now, I am just thankful for some conclusion that involves Little Sydney at home with Sami. Finally.

OOPs. Got a little off topic. I am so glad Dr Baker is back. I have an open mind as to how he will interact with Nicole and Stefano. Could be Nicole’s miscarriage or baby — or something else. They need more Dr’s at the hospital. haha

Nicole did not miscarry so get over it, what kind of doctor would just tell a women that her baby died and give it away.

I wonder if they will try to pin the kidnapping on Dr. Baker?

It is possible for Nicole’s baby to be alive. Whether it is Sydney or another baby remains to be seen. Because Days writer’s have always re-wrote history and changed things to fit with what they want to do in a storyline if it conflicts with how they want the story to go.

If I remember correctly it was first said that Nicole was about 20 weeks when she miscarried. But then when she switched Sami’s baby with Mia’s baby to pass off as her own. That would mean that Sami and Nicole got pregnant at almost the same time for them to be giving birth to full term babies. Which changed the time as to when Nicole got pregnant. So it seems to imply that the writer’s played with the pregnacy timeline abit.

I think that if Nicole’s baby was alive it will turn out to be Dr Dan’s who it was implied had a sexual encounter with her before EJ. This would make the baby old enough to survive. I doubt they will go there though but I’d bet money on the fact that EJ and Nicole are finished and there are too many babies on set now. Nicole will come back hotter than she left now that she isn’t pregnant and I doubt her story will involve EJ as much as Brady. They are setting it up for poor Brady to be the next guy to hit the slicing dicer

Ehh, I don’t honestly care if Nicole’s baby turns up alive or not. I originally was very, very mad they made her lose her baby, but now, I personally hope she doesn’t get it back! I want EVIL Nicole! That’s how I like her, evil, and bad to the bone. No more “good girl” Nicole. Just like no more “good girl” Sami. I want my conniving, deceitful, semi-psychotic at times Nicole and Sami back please!!!

I really want the Ejole baby to be alive! I can’t say that enough! Been wishing for it ever since the “miscarriage” happened. So let’s hope we are right on this one!

Not a fan of Nicole w/ the baby, everything she did related to Sydney was completely selfish. She knew Sammy was a good mom, so she wasn’t trying to protect Syd, she just wanted that family for herself.
I do agree that it is going to be VERY difficult to salvage E.J.’s character, even though I think he’s the “bee’s knees”.

The miscarriage was in Nov. of 2008. Sydney was born the end of January 2009. EJ never questioned that the baby was full term, so Nicole would have been about 6 1/2 or 7 months at the time she supposedly miscarried. Of course, she certainly didn’t LOOK that pregnant, but it’s possible.
The baby could have survived. Although why Baker would lie about it, is beyond me.

I think her baby is still alive. Hey it’s happened before on DAYS!! I think it would make Nicole a better person. And as for Carly, I hope she finds herself a single man.

I would like to see Dr Baker come back and reveal that Mia is Nicole’s daughter. Then Nicole would have to deal with what she did to her own daughter and granddaughter.

Dr. Baker supposely had died in the islands, when Safe went to question him about her baby
