by Amy and James Plouf

We were delighted to have the opportunity to conduct an email interview with one of DOOL’s up and coming stars. Even though she is a major soap star at such a young age, it hasn’t gone to her head. Taylor Spreitler is a classy young lady, with talent, kindness and a desire to give back through Variety’s Power of Youth.
Other credits to her name include most notably, a guest appearance on Law and Order:SVU, Motrin commercials, and the film All Soul’s Day. Spreitler joins the likes of Molly Burnett, Nadia Bjorlin and Lindsay Hartley in that she is an accomplished vocalist. She has performed at the Liberty Bowl ESPN pregame show.
DaysTalk: Do you see yourself as the next Sami?
Spreitler: Oh there could never be another Sami! She is one of a kind and those would be some pretty big shoes to fill! I do think they share some of the same characteristics with all of the lying and scheming, but Mia has a long way to go to even begin to compete with Sami’s mad troublemaking skills.
DaysTalk: Where do you want your character to go?
Spreitler: I know Mia has had a hard time with the baby stuff but I’m glad she isn’t crying and feeling sorry for herself all the time anymore. I really like the new mean streak she has, I just hope she doesn’t get too evil! I want her to be a “love to hate” not just a “hate”! There is a very fine line between the two and Ali and Ari both pull it off so well. And as much as Mia loves Maggie it would still be nice to have an onscreen family around!
DaysTalk: Tell us how you became a major soap star amongst the pros like JS, AZ, and AS at 16?
Spreitler: Wow, I don’t belong in that category or even the same sentence with them! If my career is even half as successful as any of theirs I will consider myself very, very lucky!
