Uh no, I don’t forgive him. Every soap needs a bad guy, I am ok with that. But I don’t forgive him, and don’t want him with Sami! Wish it would turn out Johnny is really Lucas’ kid, wish it would turn out that Sydney is not his then no strings to Sami. However I do give credit to James for doing a good job of making me hate EJ.

I love EJ too.. Patch didn’t have a great start either.. we love him. Jack raped… we love him….the list goes on… it’s like they have to get over their demons and only hurt brings out the evil… give him time to grow up.

Heck No! I don’t forgive him, and I don’t forget and that is why I’m sooo against any Sami and EJ pairing. Jack might have raped but the circumstances were very different, plus we saw Jack repent and hate himself for everything he did. I see haven’t seen EJ worry about anyone but himself…It’s all about him and that is what should happen with villains…keep him dark, make him the next Stefano and we can all love to hate it.

Because he is interesting, entertaining and above all has layers, he can make awful things but he can also genuinely cares…actually he is grey and on Days and generally on the soap genre characters are white or black..one note so to see more complex characters it’s refreshing..almost delighful..
Sami is the same type of character and in the same time she is very different, they complete each other, in one word they are the perfect match.

I can add that JS charisma and acting abilities is also a major factor and i don’t know why but when she has scenes with him AS improves her acting, the chemistry between them is also a factor leading up to love this pairing.

I think it’s because we all want to be redeemed. If EJ can be forgiven, than anyone can. James Scott is such a good actor. He makes EJ multi-dimensional. He’s not just a bad guy or a hero. He’s both and so much more. He has been totally evil, and has begged for redemption. He’s completely damaged and fabulously complicated. Some of it is writing, but much of that has to do with the acting choices of James Scott. Love, love, love him.

I want to see EJ and Sami together just to drive people crazy who can’t stand them together. I have had to endure sex between people who have tortured each other before like Lucas and Sami and they were classless in the act. I thought I was watching white trash. I prefer my men abit more sophisticated, devious and its essential they look like EJ Dimera. LOL

all kidding aside, EJ is no different than a long line of semi bad boy characters that Days choses from time to time to be either redeemed or fallen. I remember Doug Williams was a criminal with a prison record and for awhile was the bad guy. Julie was horrible like Sami most of her youth..believe she was a thief. Bo was a bad apple for awhile but more sour than thruly bad.

Sami was the worst of the worst and I hated her with a passion for a long time. I think the reason I like EJ and sami together as I truly see her as bad as he is and love the fact that he sees right thru her schemes. Lucas was always a rotten apple especially with Kate

Days will forget past crimes like they seem to be doing with Kate and moves on, only to make the bad guys bad again to suit a plot point.

I just look at days as a place with alot of screwed up people who look a hell of alot better than me but whose morals are not to be found..it works for me its not real life. I have never seen a man as good looking as James Scott so I tthink he is not real LOL

I love Ej! EJ is what keeps me watching the show, if not for him i would either sleep thru or FF Days! he’s not as witty or smart as he used to be (but that has nothing to do w/ him, that writing)and he makes my day. plus, other characters on the show have done the same & worse than ej & we seem to have no problem forgiving them!? (hello – Sami?! she did the same thing to austin! we forgave her – so did he)

as a sidenote- ITA w/ the comments above JS is SO HOT

EJ is thee most popular character on DOOLcurrently. Why? He is like the Rhett Butler of Daytime, he is charmingly bad. Seductive and sexy. He is a warm, caring father. He is arrogant, romantic, manipulative, smart, snarky and witty. He lives hard and he loves harder. Then we have James Scott who has done an amazing job. Some fans might not like the character of EJ but they can deny that James is one heck of an actor who brings his A game to every scene.

I love EJ as the bad guy but do not want him back with Sami. I always loved Sami with Lucas and wish they would reunite. Although I don’ t see that coming. I have grown on the idea of her and Rafe…I just don’t want her back with EJ!! She deserves much better. I’m not so sure I’m crazy about EJ turning his back on the DiMeras. I love him as a bad guy! Somethings got to happen to reunite him with Stefano.

It is true that over the years the show has chosen to redeem some bad guys, I am thinking EJ will not be one of those. I am thinking he will just get worse, after all even the Phoenix will have to retire at some point. EJ is the heir to evil. That ship is too far out to sea to turn back at this point. I think it takes someone like Nicole to love EJ. In order for someone to be redeemed they have to be sorry for the bad and to stop doing it and do better things. Do you really want EJ to do that? He is better being the guy I love to hate to me.

Oh i disagree with people who said Ej is a bad guy, no Ej is so much more he is multi-dimensional and that is rare on soap, he is a more subtle character (we saw this type of grey persona on prime time and movies though, it’s called the anti-hero with a flawed, human personality).
JS has the acting chops to portray a complex character and not a simple one-note soap bad guy (Stefano is perfect for that, he is a great soap villain sometimes cartoonish but it’s ok it’s fun).
The way JS shows nuance and vulnerability and in the same time anger, sadness, deviousness makes Ej unique. He can’t be the epitome of the soap viliain because he has showed too much conflicts and layers in his persona, i’d said it’s more deep (eh yeah even on a soap it’s possible ! lol).
He certainly will shine outside daytime but for now i can appreciate him as Ej.
Another actor could certainly come to play the evil bad guy that some want to watch and love to hate (it’s fun too i agree).
Although JS with the character of Ej deserves so much more and has already demonstrate it.

Sami has her own lengthy resume behind her too… and I think that is why the pairing with her character works. The character EJ is one of the best they have ever developed because of what everyone has already said, more than a one trick pony. There are the characters that do no wrong, then there are some that do no good. But he can do both and people can relate. I have no idea what this break from Stefano but still being a drug lord will turn into, that is yet to be determined.

I love Ej’s character, always have always will.. Yep he’s done some bad things and he’s also done some good things..He loves his children and is a good father to them..Sami has been “redeemed” (for the time being) and her crimes from memory are considerably more than Ej’s have been (maybe in 5 years time they might be even .. Ej and Sami have loads of chemistry together, whether they are hating or loving each other.. Ej has always loved Sami regardless of her sins (unlike others in her life that have said they love her but have never accepted the real Sami and have tried to change her into St Carrie).. Sami has always fought her feelings for Ej but they have always been there..I think these two should be together, I always have and I always will ..

I tend to forget all the evil EJ has done throughout the show because he is so darn good looking. He makes my heart melt when he turns on his soft side especially when he is with Samantha. I am looking foward to the day when he and Sammy are back together. EJ can do no wrong for me. I am disappointed whenever he carries out his evil acts; but as soon as he shows his sweet side all is forgotten. He and Sammy are the ones keeping Days alive. If they were to team up together the show would be the bomb!

well i like the hole cast i have been whiching sents i was a little girl and if my mom and dad didn’t wach it i would when i was a teen and when i was littler i would look at it form time to time with my grandma and aunt when they were a live. i still like the show and think that ej is hot and very smooth with the ladys but i dont know if i wont sami back with EJ she seems more happy when she is with the new guy sorry brain fart . but now that ej knows that sami is the mother of her child and they have two also like lucas poor guy what a shock he is going to have when he comes back from rehab. what is samie going to do all the men love her too. oh boy but yes he ej is a very intiesing person on the show poor sammi i am glad this is not real i would not wont anyone to be in such a mess samie is my very veryfafert one on the show but i love them all when i cant wate for the next show i would love to meat them i hope Hope statenes up on the show i don’t like her being the way she is bo love her very much and it is getting a little redickuless to me sap out of it HOPE.

No, I don’t forgive EJ and no I don’t really want he and Sami together forever. It would be nice (in a perfect world) if the two of them could be civil for the childrens’ sake. nope don’t see that happening either.

as I said yesterday Rafe and Sami are great together and I think Rafe is the real hero in all of this baby switch story he’s strong, and he’s faithful to Sami and the children, he’d make a great husband and father!!

I am with Brittany and Gertrude. I don’t forgive EJ for all the horrible things he has done. He is just like Stefeno. I don’t want EJ with Sami she belongs with Rafe. I would love to find out Ali really belongs to Lucas and was never EJ’s. Also wish Sydney (which her name was Grace) was Lucas’ as well.
As an actor playing the part he is great. Just keep him away from Sami. Rafe has been so good for her and makes her act more mature and has a calming effect on her. She needs that.

wow gertrude, no need to be bitter bitter fat kid about it. loving/liking ej does NOT make us idiots at all, it does, however, speak volumes about you. i enjoy ej on my screen, and as long as he is i will support his character, because there is so much more to him than there is to rafe. Ej is complex and has many layers (it’s called character development) unfortunately the writers havent done any of that w/ rafe so it makes him uninteresting and boring to watch. he has no personality, is not charming, is not fun to watch w/ any other character, and is controlling – actually he’s a cro mag, he needs to go back to his time period and go chase a freakin sabertooth

Chemistry of course!! Why would I want Sami to be with EJ? Well honestly, I never really liked Sami’s character until EJ came along.. all because of the bad share of things that Sami has done. (Maybe a list of Sami’s career path in comparison would be interesting!)

And don’t forget these additions to EJ’s career path:
- faked immigration trouble to get closer to Sami.
- made Sami think she burned him alive.
- made Sami think that he was still crippled even after he regained the ability to move his legs again.

WOW! The fact that someone has the audacity to come to a blog and state that a group of people are idiots and shouldn’t share their comments on a BLOG because they have a different opinion is absolutely unbelievable! I will not feed into the obvious anger issues someone might have, but I will state without a doubt that I have read many posts by people who are EJ lovers that are very smart adults who can see depth in a character and who can write about that depth in a very intellectual and insightful way. I will always forgive EJ because I appreciate his character. The writers screw things up in regards to character history sometimes to allow for plot, but EJ’s character is extremely popular because of his areas of gray. This is a soap opera and the characters cannot act like the cast from “Leave it to Beaver” because that just doesn’t cut it in this day and age. What makes soaps and character’s like EJ’s so interesting and compelling is because we want to watch something that is NOT like reality, we want to escape reality and live with these complex, over the top, good vs. bad characters. So in closing save the hatred because we are all here to share ideas, opinions and love for DOOL. By the way….go EJAMI!

I agree with Stacey about wanting to see someone redeem themselves. Also, for those EJ haters – he didn’t rape Sami…he blackmailed her into sleeping with him, yes. It is a technicallity but, it wasn’t rape. I am an EJAMI lover and they are the number one reason I watch the show.

(FYI, I know I ‘m going to get slammed by the PC police for this.) Gertrude do you hate Sami? Do you think Sami is a loser? Sami drugged and raped Austin. By the way I know many people view the Sami and EJ encounter as rape, but I don’t. He gave her a choice. He didn’t have to help her save someone (Lucas) he hated at all. A quid pro quo for poontang doesn’t constitute rape and would not be rape in the our legal system. Sami had a choice and she made it. She traded her body for EJ’s help. Did she have sex under duress? Absolutely. But Lucas having the accident was the cause of her duress, not EJ. EJ had nothing to do with the accident. Was it an awful thing for EJ to do? Yup! He shouldn’t have taken advantage. But there was no crime committed and damnit, we all know EJ can be shady. And I for one love that about EJ. Fun! The word rape is used very loosely in the context of Sami and EJ. Everyone is waaay to PC now days and go out of their way not to offend people with the truth. The truth is that it was not rape. Now if EJ had drugged Sami and then had sex with her, he would be in the slammer right now. Funny how Sami got away with doing that to Austin? Just sayin’. Sami is no more a Saint than EJ. That’s what I love about these two. Sami needs to give up the Boy Scouts (though, I’m still hoping Rafe has something he’s hiding) and be true to her own nature. I am sick of SMARLENA. Give me Sami back please. EJami forever!

People, I am a third generation watcher and have been watching Days for 29 years now. I love this show as much as the next person. But as I have said before, THIS IS ONLY A TV SHOW PEOPLE!!!!! THIS IS NOT REAL LIFE!!!!! I completely agree with #35 Liza and #37 Elsa. People (#28 Gertrude, #32 Joan, #33 Nicole), you are bashing people that watch the same show as you. Everyone have different opinions (deal with it). Not everyone is going to agree with you in life. I’d hate to see the way you are when you shop, attend church, or even drive. If you get this angry towards people that are talking about a fictional town and fictional people. Remember that Christmas time is around the corner, maybe you should think about that before you blast someone on here. For everyone who keeps a sane anger level on here, thank you. People that complain about others on here are making it come to the point, that I might not return to this site. I’d hate to see it go to that extreme.

EJ is love! I understand he raped Sami, yet Bill raped Laura and they ended up falling in love. I mean I know EJ is bad, but when I watch TV that’s usually the guy I cheer for ‘the bad boy with the heart of gold’ or ‘the bad boy who changes his evil ways for the love of his life.’ Sure in real life I would be for a guy like Rafe to fend off EJ, but TV it is all about EJ.

He is a great actor, and has drop dead gorgeous looks.
He has electrifying chemistry with Sami.
He is evil and charming, he is strong and gentle..
he is selfish and he is caring..
He simply is normal not over the top good and not over the top bad.
Any normal human has two sides..
James as Ej Dimera is like chocolate icing on chocolate cake.
