If you want to vote for someone else, write a comment. No big deal and no reason to complain. There are probably only so many slots that can be used with the program they chose.

The important storylines since few years are all around Sami..so i’d said Sami but Nicole is the main character in this baby-switch storyline. The writers have above all written the story from her point of view (so lot’s of viewers can sympathize with her even she is the villain).
Ej is also really important, certainly because the TPTB are aware of the actor acting skills.
Otherwise i saw the results : Rafe has almost the same numbers as Ej..come on guys i understand some love the “hero” type but he is not really important, he is just developped as the new Sami’s boyfriend..it is like saying Brandon was more important than Bo..it’s not serious..lol

If EJ is not the most important character, he is the most dynamic. I do love Sami too, but I love the Sami getting herself in trouble.

I think Sami may be the most important character as far as the continuity of the show but EJ is by far the reason I have come back to days and without him i would not be a fan just a casual viewer. Ej has made me a passionate viewer because James Scott is the best actor ‘i have ever seen on a soap. My biggest fear is that he will become a star and will leave us behind. No one could play EJ without all his layers and pull it off the way James does. Stephano was always a one note person on the show..evil but EJ is too cpmplex to put in any one box..he makes you want him to succceed where you never felt that way about Stephano, I don;t even think its because of his looks all though he has enormous appeal it more how he draws you into his soul. His eyes say alot more than the script calls for and that;s what makes you love him

Oh Joan if JS become a star outside of Daytime (and i agree with you he has the potential to move on to better and bigger things) you will watch himl in prime time shows or movies !!

Right on Joan! EJ is the perfect antihero. James Scott does a great job. James Scott is very good at conveying EJ’s inner torment to the viewers without going over the top. We all know he loves Samantha because it comes through in every scene. Even when he’s angry with her. It’s really beautiful to watch. I love these two. I have only become a faithful viewer due to EJami. I’ve never really gotten into soaps but I have watched Days off and on since the early 90′s. Jabie (hope that’s right) and Amy, thank you for this forum. I’m sure I speak for all posters and viewers of this site when I say YOU GUYS ROCK. I have nobody to discuss Days with but you and the other posters. The only TV my hubby and I watch together is Dexer and UK basketball/football games. But I’m working on him and he agreed to watch Mondays episode. Whooopie!

I have watched Days on and off since the late 80s (I was in the 8th grade when Patch and Kayla had their big wedding), and I have to say that Sami is the most important character. She can be a bad girl and a heroine at the same time. She is involved somehow in almost every major storyline and she is the main Brady character (and the only Brady with guts nowadays), and has been for years. Ms. Sweeney is a great actress, and I feel she has become a fixture on Days. Eventually she will be the Brady matriarch, but that will be many years from now. You see? I’m already counting on Sami to be in Salem forever!

I have been watching since the early 80′s. I love Sami, I think she will become an Alice or Caroline.

Sami will be Sami !! She is unique !! Even if with this Safe pairing they write her like she was Marlena or worse Carrie or Belle (if the TPTB miss them that hard it’s not difficult they can bring them back !!!)
Sami is a grey character, not the viliain but the anti-heroine like Ej is the anti-hero ! Don’t destroy that writers !!

Nicole, Sami, in that order are the important characters right now, then follows Rafe, EJ Mia etc etc .

Sami and Nicole were at their best in the scenes of the face off ie, the arguing, and the famous slap that Sami gave Nicole. awesome scenes KUDOS to them both!!

Sami marked her place in DOOL history the day she stole Belle from her crib. She’s been ruling Salem ever since. She has battled them all and always comes out smelling like a rose. She is and always will be the most important character on DOOL. I have never fast forwarded through a scene involving Sami Brady.

I think Sami is the most important right now with Rafe and Nicole sharing second place. All three are doing a wonderful job with the story line. EJ has done some good scenes also so would put him fourth.

I agree that Sami is the most important character on Days. Her character has always interested me and she is the reason I started watching Days a couple of years ago. I was always interested in what type of scheme she will get herself into. Although, I kinda miss the bad Sami, it seems that she is turning into a goody goody. I can’t believe Hope got so many little votes, she has so much history with the show and she is one of the few Hortons left on the show. Hope storylines right now aren’t that great but if you would combine everyones storylines over the years, I am sure that Hope would be on the top along with Bo.

Rafe is #3, must be that Passion click! And Bo and Hope are the least in important, LOL, I beg to differ. You could had just taken out Melanie and put either Kate or Carly in there, IMO.

Dom,Lucas is a vet so i can understand you see him as an important character but right now he is really really secondary, the guy doesn’t even have a storyline and when he has a storyline (Daniel/Chloe/Lucas/Kate poisoning) he is a supporting character.
He has always been a sidekick to more important character like Sami or to character with most potential (determined by the writers) like Kate. The poor guy totally depended on these ladies and when he was outside their orbit he was boring (with Carrie, Chloe + there was zero chemistry, painful to watch to say the least…) he is not written as a leading male material, maybe soon the writers will write him in a storyline where he can be a wonderful and funny supporting male as he has the potential to be.
